Getting ready to go on another trip. I am pretty sure this will be the 14th trip. This will be a shorter than normal trip in Nigeria. On my way there I will stop in Maryland and visit with my grand-kids for a couple of days. On the way back I will again fly through DC and visit for a birthday party and baptism. Flying through DC saves a couple hundred dollars when you buy the tickers separately. To get the cheapest ticket I had to leave here a day earlier than I had planned and stay in DC a day longer. The disadvantage is lugging two suitcases and my computer bag through the Metro.
My primary missions on this trip are:
1. To consult on the building of the Health Training and Training Hostel with the LCCN Health Services Board and Global Health Ministries.
2. Continue consulting on the renovations of the Demsa Health Referral Center. I am carrying 4 scrub sink faucets of a type that they had problem acquiring in Nigeria. Design of latrines and waste incinerator.
3. Attend the LCCN Annual Convention and the installation of the new Archbishop.
4. Consult with the Health Services Board on creating a long term facilities plan.
5. Consult with the Deaf Church on creating a long term facilities plan.
6. Bring some kids DVDs for the Deaf Children to practice reading skills while watching movies.
7. Whatever they need me to help with.
The LCCN Annual Convention bring together over 10,000 people for several days of presentations, singing, preaching, and education. I have been to two others over the years.
